What should i do next to further my music career?
iammegaawesome asked:
Ok, so im seventeen and currently in my final year of college. I want a career in music possibly as a journalist, but don’t know what to do next. I’ve freelanced for numerous websites and even worked for a magazine on an internship.
I have an option to do university but i’m not sure if that’s the best option. I could take a gap year and learn some skills as a producer, or attend university. Advice please!

University sounds like a very good route. If you take a gap year, it might be harder for you to get back into the swing of school work, and a degree is very important nowadays. Also, look at your options for university. Some colleges offer degrees in Music and Music Business/Journalism specifically.
I myself want to be an A&R Representative and will be attending Columbia College in Chicago. Good luck.
I say get your BA in Journalism with a minor in Music. Do an internship in that field, and go for it.
