My boyfriend (a freelance journalist and writer) is planning to go to Kabul in early February/ March.

I haven’t been able to find very much online in terms of places to stay or how to get in touch with others who are traveling/ working in the region.

Does anyone have any insight or advice? Or where I can turn to for a better sense of what the city is like (other than newspapers and newscoverage of course)?

    War zone still. Make sure he registers with the consulate so they know where he’s staying.
